Working with the clients Brett and Brandon, this kitchen was a full remodel in a challengingly small and short space. Opening up the layout and creating a long run from the front door to the back of the space, we established a more spacious flow, giving some much needed energy into this minimal condo.
The kitchen includes custom Birch cabinets and a built in bench by the front entry. The cabinets are complimented by custom Heath Ceramic tiles for a full backsplash that wraps the entire kitchen area. A one-off, working height, rolling island allows the space to be switched from maximum function to maximum seating, hosting as many as 8 diners. The island is powder coated steel with a solid Alder top.
A collection of work from a short timeline, Rounded Planes includes long benches, low tables, and scalloped shelves. The benches are shown in solid Pine (9 feet long), and solid painted Maple (6' long).
The Low Tables are all made from Maple, and are shown in a clear and Rose. They also come in Oxidized Maple and a Powder Blue.
The Scallop Shelves are laser cut and bent steel, with a powder coated finish. Shown in black and pink, they are currently available in Black, Blue, and Gray.
The Situation is a collection of objects that were developed from a medley of actual spatial situations requiring a designed solution . The need to hang, the need for a table, the need for a shelf, the need to fill a corner, the need for a small platform. From these needs prototypes were developed, followed by these iterations that complete The Situation.
The Situation was first launched at The Bellevue Art Museum in August 2015 as part of their show The New Frontier: Young Designer-Makers in the Pacific Northwest.
Shown is the first prototype of the Scallop Shelf, highlighted in Rounded Planes, and now a Williams production piece.
Also shown are the Peg Hang Rack in Ebonized Oak, the Situation Table in Pine with powder coated steel legs, the YKB Low Table, and an L Bench in rose quartz laminate.

The Step-Family is a loose collection of objects, made in the same time frame but independently of each other. It's the coming together of these disparate objects that creates the whole picture, or the whole family.
Included in the Step-Family are a Pine and powder coated steel hanging stand, a quartz bench, Oak trivets and a Yves Klein Blue mug.
